Get more Google reviews for your small business.
Learn how to get more google reviews for your small business by creating a shareable short link that will help you to drive your customers to review your small business on Google.
Step 1: Claim Your Business Listing on Google
In order to manage your business information and reply to google reviews, you must first claim or add your business listing. If you have already done this, you can move onto the next step. Once clicking the button below, follow the instructions. If you need further help with google listings you can checkout their article here.
Claim Your Business Listing

Step 2: Search your business name in google.
Now you will want to search for the new listing you created. Open a new tab or go to the url bar at the top and type in your business name, as it is in your listing (i.e. Hawk Design Co). When you do this, your new listing should show up on the right hand side of the page.
Click on the button that says “Write A Review”. Since I have already claimed this business listing I had to scroll down a bit to see the this button. Note: 0nce clicking on the button it will prompt you to sign in to your google account if your aren’t already, Google does this because they require real people to leave reviews.
Step 3: Copy the extremely long URL
When the review pop-up window displays, all you have to do is go to the URL box and copy the entire random URL that appears. This is the URL that you will paste into the URL shortener in the next step.
Step 4: Create A Short-Link
Open a new tab and go to bitly.com and sign up for a free account, if you don’t already have one. Now you can paste the “Google Review” link (you copied in the last step) into the Bit.ly URL shortener box, and click shorten. The nice thing about doing it this way is you are able to track how many times it is getting clicked and more!

Step 5: Share your new review short-link
Once the link is shortened, copy the newly created short link and begin to share it. You can do this by posting it on social media, in an email, text message, etc… The best time to request that your customers or clients leave a review is upon delivery of your product or completion of a job. You want to have them review your product or service, when it is fresh in their mind so.
